When two shoppers at Tommy Bahama are asked whether Covid helped or hurt their business, their answer quickly takes a morbid turn. Upon stating that Covid helped them, the couple reveals that they are funeral directors, and detail some of the challenges and benefits of the pandemic.
The couple states that many hospitals did not have enough refrigeration for dead bodies, and that their units were quickly put into service. They also reveal that other New Jersey funeral homes had up to 100 bodies at a time, and some were un-refrigerated. While the man does say that it was a challenging time, he seems quite cheery joking that it means he can now shop at Tommy Bahama. Thankfully, he says that their business is more or less back to normal thanks to numbers in New Jersey stabilizing for the time being.
